Maps, GPS Positions, Trails & Downloads

     For most GPS-Systems

I post our whole trail from La Paz to Sajama N.P., Lauca N.P (close to Putre) in Chile down along the Chilean/Bolvian border to a small border office (big enough for all the paperwork) to enter Bolivia again north of Salar Coipasa, then offroading down across Salar Uyuni and all the way down to the Chilean border (Laguna Verde) and our way east to Argentinia.

You should be able to use my downloadable data doing an upload to Your GPS with one of the following software packages:

- Mapsource
- Touratech QV
- Easy GPS (Freeware)           - Search "download Easy GPS" in Google...   ;)

Along with the trail I post all of our GPS - Positions (Highlights along the way, Entries/Exits to Salars, marvellous campspots, hot springs & geysers.

In case You cannot upload to Your GPS, You can at least use the GPS-Data. The downloadable data can be read with a normal texteditor (e.g. Notepad).

To download the file RIGHT-CLICK on the Filename and choose "Save as"....

If You save the maps on Your pc and watch them with a grafic editor the quality should be good enough to see the details and make a printout...

Hope You'll enjoy this incredible trail as much as we did!

and please.... - if You see  these active volcanos (like here volcan Ollague) at work: Think at
the two Swiss Volcano-Hoppers who would tremendously enjoy to be with You at this very moment...   :)
